AGM and Celebration of Achievements 2013
MK Women & Work's 35th AGM and Celebration of achievements was inspiring and emotional and reinforced the value of the work the charity does. Guest Speaker Emeritus Professor Janet Newman spoke about Cuts, Creativity and Imagined Futures with a lot of factual information about 'where we are and how we got there', but also an indication of the choices we can make to improve the situation going forward. This provoked many thoughtful questions from the audience.
The Mayor, Cllr Brian White was moved to say a few words in support of the work Women & Work do, describing how he has been championing the rights of working women almost since birth.
